In a significant boost to the region’s industrial development, the state government has approved the establishment of an Apollo Tyres manufacturing plant in the Chittoor region with an investment of ₹1,110 crore. The project is expected to strengthen the district’s position as an emerging industrial hub while attracting further investments to the area. According to officials, the upcoming tyre manufacturing facility will generate approximately 500 direct employment opportunities, benefiting local youth and skilled workers. In addition to direct jobs, the project is also expected to create numerous indirect employment opportunities across transportation, logistics, maintenance, and ancillary industries.
The approval of the Apollo Tyres plant reflects the government’s commitment to promoting industrialization and economic growth in Chittoor. Industry experts believe the investment will contribute significantly to the region’s economy, enhance infrastructure development, and support the growth of allied sectors.
