A very tragic incident took place in Bangareddypalli village of Chittoor Rural Mandal. The loss of four lives of the same family has created a lot of panic in the locality. The police have identified the deceased as Damodar (head of the family), Nirmala (wife), Dilip (son – 8th class student), and Srividya (daughter – 6th class student) of the same family. His wife Nirmala has been suffering from serious health problems for some time now. Deeply distressed by his wife’s illness, her husband Damodar decided to commit suicide along with his family. In this process, he first poisoned his wife and two children (Dileep and Srividya). Then he also committed suicide by hanging himself.
Before committing suicide, Damodar wrote a letter in which he made it clear that no one was responsible for his death. Moreover, the letter also revealed that he had money in his ATM card and requested that the money be withdrawn and used for the funeral expenses of his family members, which shocked everyone. The entire village of Bangareddypalli has been plunged into a sea of grief after the death of four members of a family, especially two young children. Relatives and villagers are in tears as no one is left to perform the last rites of the family. Immediately after receiving the information, Chittoor Rural Police reached the spot. The bodies were seized and shifted to the government hospital for postmortem.
